Camp Frog (August 2-6, 2010)

A summer week for children who have completed kindergarden through 8th grade. 9 AM to 3 PM each day with counselors from Camp Lutheran in Butler PA.

Narcotics Anonymous meets in the Church Undercroft on Saturdays beginning at 11:00 AM.

IHN Dinners (July 20, September 28, and December 7, 2010)

 Interfaith Hospitality Network volunteers meet several times throughout the year at St John's Lutheran church. Volunteers prepare meals and and time with families in need.

Christian Education Ministries

Children's Sunday Church School
meets from 9:15 - 10:15 AM on Sundays
in the Christian Education Building (Lower Level)
grades: preschool through 8th grade
from post Labor Day through May

Adult Bible Class
meets from 9:15 - 10: 00 AM on Sundays
in the Upper Room of the Christian Education Building
taught by Pastor Mozolak


Weekday Church School

Meets on Wednesdays from September through May
Participants meet from 4:30 - 6:00 PM 
in the Upper Room of the Education Building
For Grades 3 through 8
A three year cycle is taught covering Old Testament, New Testament, Catechism, Christian Worship and History in preparation for Confirmation
Taught by Pastor Mozolak and an assistant

Reading Well (Adult Christian Book Group)
after reading well and deeply
a place to talk with people of faith
gathering words and paragraphs
thoughts and images
in the buckets of Bible and belief
The group meets as scheduled

Previously discussed works: John Grisham's The Testament, Morris West's The Devil's Advocate, Graham Greene's Power and the Glory, C. S. Lewis's The Screwtape Letters, Angela Hunt's The Note



New Member Classes
the Inquirer's Class meets as announced

for studying Christian faith, Lutheran teachings
and membership
Lutherans are received by transfer of membership

First Communion Class
taught and scheduled as needed
for children (usually at 3rd grade level)
for adults (arranged with the Pastor)

Mid-Week Bible Study
adults meet several times a year
